We dyed Standard Issue’s heavy-duty cotton crew neck sweatshirts to a bronzy, light, brick-red using a combination of walnut hulls collected from the neighborhood, and natural madder root.

These have been naturally scoured and mordanted for maximum colorfastness, but as with all natural dyed cloth, the colors may appear textured and irregular, and will gently fade over time. They’re also a little stiff at first, but will soften with wear and washing. Embrace the fade!
